Budens is a village in the Algarve that has retained its authentic character. It is located in the most interesting part of the coastline. The famous coastal town of Salema and its beach are just 7 minutes away. Less frequented beaches and bays are also nearby. The city of Lagos with its wide range of stores, restaurants and bars as well as museums and churches is easily accessible by car within 30 minutes. Off the beaten tourist track, Budens is an ideal base from which to discover the Algarve’s hinterland.
Eating and Drinking
If you would like to cater for yourself, you will find all the everyday groceries you need in the local supermarket. The restaurants in the village and the surrounding area are also worth a visit.
Beaches
The Algarve – who doesn’t immediately think of stunning beaches and a refreshing dip in the sea? The beaches of Boca do Rio and Salema are the closest. We especially love the walk down to Salema beach – it’s one of our favourite routes. Both beaches are also just a few minutes away by car. If you’re heading to the beaches of Sagres or the surfer-favourite spots along the west coast, you should allow around 20 minutes by car.
Sight Seeing
The Algarve offers more than just sun, sea, and nature. Fascinating sights bear witness to thousands of years of history and culture.
Sports
Whether hiking, cycling, golf or surfing, the western Algarve offers many exciting sporting opportunities.
